Mashup Edu Pvt Ltd (“Mashup Edu”, “we”, “us”) is a music education company registered in Dehradun, India. We operate this website and our programs — including Xcelerator, Backstage, and Nia. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. For anything in here, you can reach us at support@mashupedu.in.

We collect information you give us directly, and some that's gathered automatically when you use the site.

You give us: when you apply to a program or contact us, we collect your name, stage name, email, phone number, city, details about your music (genre, experience, links to your work), and your answers to our application questions.

Collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages visited, and how you arrived (including UTM campaign tags). This comes through cookies and similar technologies used by analytics and advertising tools.

We use your information to: review and respond to program applications; communicate with you about your application, enrollment, and our programs; process payments where applicable; improve our website and programs; and measure and run our marketing (including ads). We only use it for the purposes described here or that are obvious from the context in which you gave it.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure and target our advertising. These tools set cookies and may share limited data (such as a hashed identifier or your activity on our site) with Google and Meta. You can opt out of analytics cookies through your browser settings, and adjust ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings. We do not sell your personal data.

If you enroll in a paid program, payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay or Stripe. Your card and banking details are entered directly with the provider and are handled under their security standards — we do not store full card numbers on our systems. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details needed to manage your enrollment.

With your consent or where permitted, we may contact you by email, WhatsApp, or phone about your application, your program, and relevant updates. We use third-party messaging tools (such as AiSensy) to send these. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP, using an unsubscribe link, or emailing us at support@mashupedu.in. We'll still send essential messages about an application or program you're enrolled in.

We share personal data only with: service providers who help us run Mashup Edu (analytics, advertising, payment, messaging, and hosting partners named above), and only as needed for them to do that work; and authorities or others where required by law. We don't sell your personal data or share it for unrelated purposes.

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, the duration of your program and a reasonable period afterward for our records, legal, and accounting needs. Application data from candidates we don't enroll is kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see your rights below).

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent you've given. To exercise any of these, email support@mashupedu.in and we'll respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf, and to raise a grievance with us.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to those who need it. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we'll act in line with our legal obligations.

Our programs and this site are intended for users aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has given us their data, contact us and we'll remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
